For advocates, caseworkers, and the people who hold the line.

JessicaBolt SteadyGroundCounseling exists for the clients you refer who fall through every gap — no insurance, no diagnosis required, no $150/hr. Just a real person to think out loud with about what's next.

The populations you work with.

If you're sending someone who fits one of these descriptions, SteadyGround Counseling is worth a referral.

DV survivors
Someone who's out — or getting out — and needs support rebuilding a sense of direction. Not crisis, but not fine either.
Single parents
Holding everything together while holding nothing in reserve. Needs a space to think without the kids in the room.
People post-incarceration
Navigating reentry — housing, relationships, identity, next steps — without a roadmap or a safety net.
People dealing with illness or grief
Not in clinical crisis, but not moving forward either. Needs someone to talk to who isn't part of their family or medical team.
People who feel stuck
No obvious crisis. Just can't see a way forward. Needs someone to help them identify one concrete next move.
People in housing transitions
Leaving shelter, starting over, rebuilding after eviction. The practical and emotional pieces both need attention.

What coaching is — and isn't.

Good fit
  • Someone who needs a real person to think out loud with about what's next
  • Someone who isn't in immediate danger but is stuck, overwhelmed, or isolated
  • Someone who wants support but can't afford or access traditional therapy
  • Someone who's done the hard work of getting safe and now needs help building forward
  • Someone who wants accountability, not just listening
Not a fit
  • Not therapy. Jessica is a certified life coach, not a licensed mental health professional. She won't diagnose or treat mental illness.
  • Not crisis intervention. If a client is in immediate danger, their first call should be to 911, 988, or the DV hotline — not SteadyGround Counseling.
  • Not a safety plan substitute. She supports people after safety plans are in place, not instead of them.
  • Not a case management service. She doesn't coordinate housing, benefits, or legal resources — though she'll help clients think through those decisions.

How pricing works for your clients.

No awkward conversation required. Your client never has to prove they can't pay.

$15
Standard rate

The actual cost of a session. If your client can manage $15, this is the rate that keeps SteadyGround Counseling available to everyone else.

Name your price

Your client tells Jessica what they can manage. No proof of hardship, no application, no waiting list. Just honesty.

$30–60
Pay it forward

Clients who want to contribute more directly fund the lower tiers. Worth mentioning if it's relevant to your client's situation.

Payment happens after the session, not before. Nobody has to commit to anything financially until they've had a conversation with Jessica.

15 years with crime victims. Certified life coach. Lived experience.

Jessica Bolt is a certified life coach and the founder of JessicaBolt SteadyGroundCounseling. She built this practice because she believes everyone deserves affordable, accessible support — someone real to think out loud with about what comes next.

She coaches by phone, text, or email — whatever is easiest for the people you serve. Not therapy. Not crisis management. Just a consistent, affordable human presence for as long as it's useful.

She's not a stranger to hard situations. That's not a credential — it's context for why she takes this work seriously and why she keeps the rates where they are.
